What is it about this instrument that fifty years ago was stigmatized as soulless but today inspires people between fifteen and seventy, stirs emotions and has achieved cult status long since?
How can a piece of wood with six wires attached to it produce sounds which charm and literally electrify its listeners? Emotions and ecstasy- That is what guitar oriented pop music is all about since the fifties.

The exhibition STROMgitarren traces back the path of the electric guitar from its amateur days in the twenties to today. Sound and vision will accompany you on your journey through the history, culture and technology of the instrument that was not loud enough.
